Mlimination inspired the most competitive forces within the office here at THEMUSEUM – everything from name calling to taunting to vote canvassing made this Battle of the M’s, umm…well, a fierce battle!

Let’s take a look back at some of Mlimination’s most memorable matchups (how about that for an alliteration English majors?).

Round one featured a number of close matchups including Volunteer over Corporate Red & Black, New Years over Christmas Present, St Patrick’s Day over Halloween – all by 8 votes. Also, Glee took over Hair United by a mere 5 votes. Membership on the other hand coasted to victory in a 77% to 23% win over Corporate White & Red. It was sad to lose Halloween, Intern Army and Summer Camp M’s in the first round, but they had a tough draw and couldn’t quite cut it.

Round two saw some epic battles. After a fairly easy romp, poor ol’ Featured Events succumbed to Podcast. Movember met its demise at the hands of the juggernaut Beer M. And our champion, Membership, slipped by a strong Coffee M by only 7 votes.

Round three pitted three of the early favourites up against stiff competition. Sadly, my favourite M, Podcast, could not withstand the power of Beer M and its frothy contents. And in one of the biggest upsets to this point, Robot took out the heavily favoured Education M. Membership showed strongly against a tough After Dark M (a favourite of THEMUSEUM staff).

The final four matchups were set with Membership facing Beer and Robot taking on Winter. Unsurprisingly, Robot took out Winter, but in the shocker of the tournament, Membership was able to oust Beer by 6 votes.

With Beer out, it really was a tossup over who would win: Membership or Robot. But the masses came out to vote and Membership took the crown!

Everyone at THEMUSEUM had a lot of fun with Mlimination and we look forward to making it even bigger and better next year! We already have a number of new M’s that will challenge for the crown of THEMUSEUM’s best M.
