Family Day Programming

Come visit THEMUSEUM on Family Day and participate in all our special programming! 

THEMUSEUM will be open from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and offer special discounted pricing. General admission will be $8.95+HST for all visitors ages 3 and up, and our 570 News Family Pass (valid for 2 adults, 2 children) will be $29.95+HST.

B @ THEMUSEUM, located at the front of THEMUSEUM, will also be open from 10:00am to 5:00pm with special food and beverage promotions. Every purchased kid's meal will receive a free ice cream dessert, and they will also be offering select $5 pints.


Crafty Creation: Family Trees | All Day
Happy Family Day! Does anyone know why Family Day was created? This holiday was created to give people time to spend with their loved ones. Come join us at THEMUSEUM to show how much you love your family, friends and pets by creating a Family Tree. This special craft runs all day at THEMUSEUM.
Family Hack Jam | 10:00am - 4:00pm
Come join our friends from Year of Code Waterloo Region and local industry professionals to create, tinker, and hack your way through various activities. Try out some coding games, build new creations with littleBits, and check out all the maker-stations that will be on display. 
The Underground Studio MakerSpace presents: Bits Illuminated will also be part of the Family Hack Jam programming. 
Star Lab Star Show: Stars of the Ice Age | 11:30am & 3:00pm 
Come blast off into outer space in our inflatable planetarium! See what the night-sky looked like 20,000 years ago, learn about different constellations, visit planets, and more! Star Lab Star Shows are roughly 25 minutes in length. 
Science + You: Healthy Hearts | 2:30pm
Did you know that your heart beats about 100,000 times in one day, and 35 million times in a year? During your life, it will beat more than 2.5 billion times! Come join us at THEMUSEUM to listen and learn about your happy heart!
Pixel Stick Photo-Opt | 2pm - 3pm
Come join us to have your photo taken with our pixel stick!
