The Science of Sexuality

January 25, 2014 - April 27, 2014

THEMUSEUM is starting the conversation about a very important topic - it's time for the talk.

The Science of Sexuality responds to the main concerns of young people and the not-so-young alike. It's not shy. It's frank. It's respectful. It approaches sexuality in a positive manner.

“The Science of Sexuality is a timely addition to our community and aligns well with our local Sexual Health Youth Strategy. The exhibit is innovative, educational and informative,” says Dr. Liana Nolan, Commissioner of Health for the Region of Waterloo Public Health. “It brings science and research into a fun, interactive and practical way to teach our youth and parents about sexual health, relationships and respect.”

"The Science of Sexuality, will be an ideal teaching opportunity as it provides a safe environment where students can learn about healthy sexuality, ask questions and receive direct, scientifically accurate answers." - Linda Fabi, (recently) retired Director of Education for the Waterloo Region District School Board

For ages 13 and up, this award-winning, innovative exhibition was developed with the help of respected specialists (sexologists, doctors and scientists), teaching specialists, parents, and young people of all ages. In the exhibition’s five zones, you will find the answers to over 100 basic questions through 50 interactive games, videos, and original multimedia productions.

An original production of the Montreal Science Centre.
