Official convoy will lead torchbearer through Downtown Kitchener
Kitchener, ON – THEMUSEUM, located in Downtown Kitchener, is proud to announce that it has been selected to host a celebration for the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay. At 10am on June 19th, Day 20 of the torch relay, a celebration will take place at THEMUSEUM that will allow Waterloo Region to participate and celebrate the spirit of the Games.
The event will begin with a short presentation regarding the Pan Am Games. The Pan Am flame will be lit inside THEMUSEUM, and carried by a torchbearer who was selected as part of a contest earlier this year. From there, the flame will travel through Downtown Kitchener, towards Cambridge. PACHI, the official mascot of the Games, will also be in attendance for visitors to meet and interact with.

The Pan Am flame was lit on May 25th during an official ceremony in Teotihuacan, Mexico, before arriving in Canada on May 30th. The Pan Am Games Torch Relay is a 41-day journey through more than 130 communities take place from May 30th to July 10th, 2015. The Pan Am Games will take place in Toronto from July 10th to 26th, 2015.
