Side by Side Art Show to be displayed at THEMUSEUM
Sixth-annual event with this year’s theme - “The Art of Belonging”
Kitchener, ON – This year’s six-annual Side by Side Art Show, presented in collaboration with Planned Lifetime Networks (Waterloo-Wellington-Oxford) will be on display at THEMUSEUM starting May 1, 2015. The theme for this year’s show, which all of the art will reflect, is “The Art of Belonging.”
All of the art on display has been created and donated by local artists. The art will be showcased on THEMUSEUM’s first floor, and is also available for purchase. All proceeds from the art sales will go directly back to PLN, who help provide and support positive futures for people with disabilities.
“We are excited to once again be showcasing artwork by local artists,” said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM. “Our space is known as a community stage, and we are proud of our partnerships with both local artists and organizations. It gives everyone involved a chance to have their work displayed to thousands of visitors from Waterloo Region and beyond.”
“Planned Lifetime Networks is thrilled to be hosting their Annual Side by Side ART Show and Sale at THEMUSEUM this year. Community artists have come together to create and donate exceptional art work, that truly represents, the ART of Belonging,” said Barb Prysnuk, an organizer of the art show.
An official, opening reception will take place at THEMUSEUM on May 9, 2015, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Staff from THEMUSEUM and PLN, as well as participating artists, will be in attendance.
