Kitchener, ON – After three years of enormous success, THEMUSEUM is proud to announce the fourth edition of The Brush Off, which will take place on January 24, 2015. This year will see 26 artists, both veterans and new-comers, compete in four rounds of intensive painting while guests cast votes for their favourite works of art. The event will see Waterloo Region’s arts and culture community come alive with the creation of over 40 pieces of original artwork.
The Brush Off, which has sold-out in the past three years, sees local artists come together and support THEMUSEUM. After each round, the artwork is put up for auction, with the proceeds going to support both the artist and THEMUSEUM. In each of the four rounds, the artists must follow a theme and produce an original piece of artwork. Supplies for the event are sponsored by State of the Art Supplies, located in Uptown Waterloo.
Well-known artists, as well as emerging talent, will both be displayed during The Brush Off. It provides a great night of creative fun, where members of the public can come face to face with the creative talent present throughout the local community.
The Brush Off will take place on January 24, 2015. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the event begins at 7:00pm. Tickets are available online at www.THEMUSEUM.ca for $15+HST, and it’s expected to sell out.
