Live Cuban music, food and dancing will highlight A Night in Havana
Kitchener, ON – On Saturday, February 13, 2016, THEMUSEUM will transform into a Cuban paradise to celebrate Noche en la Habana (A Night in Havana). This event is THEMUSEUM’s major fundraiser for the year, and will play off of themes of its current exhibition, The Havana Dialogues. More than 300 tickets have already been sold.
Guests are invited to come and enjoy a semi-formal, Cuban-themed evening of music, dancing and food. Cassava Latin Band – an authentic salsa band – and DJ Jimmy from Tremendous Sound Production will play Cuban music throughout the night, as well as some disco and top 40 tracks. Professional salsa dancers from Lulu Lounge in Toronto will also be performing throughout the night, and giving dancing tips to guests.
“People have come to expect a fun night of dressing up and dancing at THEMUSEUM, and they won’t be disappointed,” said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM. “With more than 300 tickets already sold it will be a wonderful, fun night out at an affordable price!”
B @ THEMUSEUM will be catering traditional Cuban fare, and Cubita will be providing coffee for guests – both will be included in the ticket price. A cash bar featuring mojitos will also be on-site, with all rum provided by Havana Club.
A Valentine’s Day-themed event package, available in partnership with Delta Waterloo, is available for $379+tax: it includes a hotel room for the night, two tickets to Noche en la Habana, transportation to and from the hotel to the event, and a champagne breakfast the morning of February 14. Delta Waterloo is also offering discounted hotel rooms for the night, starting at $150+taxes.
Guests looking to stay in the downtown core can also book discounted hotel rooms with the Crowne Plaza, which start at $119+taxes.
Four local companies have sponsored Noche en la Habana: Cubano Empresa Ltd., Coldwell Banker, KMPG and Skyline.
