At First Light will entertain and engage young professionals before their work day begins
Kitchener, ON – On Friday, April 8 THEMUSEUM will open its doors at 5:59am for a new special event called At First Light. From 5:59am—9:00am, guests will have everything they need to energize for their day. The morning will kick off with yoga and access to all exhibitions, followed by live music from Toronto-based band Running Red Lights, coffee, a smoothie bar, and breakfast foods provided by Mercury Café, and surprise activities and programs. 91.5 The Beat will also be live-broadcasting their morning show from THEMUSEUM.
“At First Light is another example of the unique, innovative programming that we offer at THEMUSEUM,” said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM. “This event, in particular, also brings together numerous downtown businesses for what will be an awesome early-morning experience.”
During the first hour of At First Light, all of THEMUSEUM’s featured exhibitions will be open, including Terry Fox – Running to the Heart of Canada, which opens to the public the same day. Those attending At First Light will be the first to see this exhibition, created by the Canadian Museum of History; THEMUSEUM is the first stop on its national tour. Both Ice Age Mammals and The Aging Dialogues will also be open until 7:00am when the band begins.
Christy Bella Luna will be leading a yoga class from 6:15am—7:00am for attendees who are interested in participating. At 6:50am – sunrise – the Grand Atrium’s skylight will open. Afterwards, Running Red Lights will perform, followed by some surprise, interactive activities. Before heading off, attendees can then participate in a cool down activity with Lotus Meditation.
