WATERLOO, ON, October 1, 2015 – Union Gas helps THEMUSEUM continue to provide conservation, energy awareness and environmental programs to local children, through a $5,000 grant.
Murray Costello, Union Gas district manager for Waterloo/Brantford presented a cheque today to THEMUSEUM CEO David Marskell at the Union Gas office in Waterloo. Mr. Marskell toured the Union Gas facility before joining employees at a United Way chili cook-off fundraiser.
The grant is in support of THEMUSEUM’s Energy Awareness and Conservation Programs aimed at educating our youngest citizens about where energy comes from, how it’s used, and how it can be conserved. THEMUSEUM hopes to inspire students to become conscientious consumers of energy and resources and proactive stewards of our environment.
“At Union Gas, we care about the environment,” said Costello. “That’s why we support important environmental educational programs such as those offered at THEMUSEUM that help children in the Waterloo region learn more about energy awareness and conservation.”
“It is community partnerships like this that are at the heart of THEMUSEUM,” says Marskell. “Waterloo Region so badly needs increased programming and discussion on the environment and conservation, I’m so pleased that we can be part of providing that.”
